The Searchers Beam Print (Made To Order)
Made To Order
One of my favorite paintings of the Sons & Daughters series is The Searcher’s Beam. The Searcher’s Beam is one of the most powerful paintings I’ve done personally, for that it moves me just as much as a new experience would. When I was drawing her out, all i could feel was this sense of largeness, massive movement, and this energy that was uncontrollable, eventually coming off the page. It’s that moment when you figure out what truly deserves you and realizing that you actually have the ability to go for it. When I was painting her, I initially created a rich dark green tone on my palette, assuming that the paint would translate the same onto the canvas, but It was even more luminous than I had anticipated, making the story even more alarming to me.
